The Eco-Products EP-FLCC plastic flat lid seals to a cold cup to help prevent leaking, is made with PLA, a plant-based plastic, and fits 9 to 24 oz. GreenStripe cold cups (sold separately).The cup is made from a form of PLA (polylactic acid) biopolymer (Ingeo), which is made from corn, a renewable resource. The PLA has a crystalized formulation for increased strength and a heat tolerance of up to 200 degrees F. This product meets the D6400 standards of ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials, for being compostable in municipal and industrial composting facilities. It is also certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) as compostable.
